Artist Bio

Rick Forgus

With a 30+ year history of working in the graphic design industry as an illustrator and creative director, Rick Forgus has become a seasoned professional artist. His recent focus of poster art has been inspired by the golden age of travel posters, vintage paperback books, pulp novels and classic spirits advertising. Rick has exhibited art in many Phoenix based galleries and works with several world wide clients in the creation of illustrations for advertising, editorial, publishing and environmental graphics. He is represented by a licensing art agent for art calls of spooky Halloween posters, comforting Christmas images, Easter, birthdays and character designs. Rick begins each project with pencil and paper. Hand rendering the images and finalizing the design on the drawing board before proceeding to the final digital artwork. The mainstay of traditional methods is the basis of all of Rick’s work.
